How Do User Roles & Permissions Work in WiseFins?

Your access in WiseFins is determined by your job title, department, and job level, we set this up for you based on the role information provided when your account is created (see: "How Do I Set Up My Account and Log In for the First Time?").

What Everyone Can Access
Regardless of level, all WiseFins users can access:

• Dashboards (Overview, Financial, Environmental)
• Menu Engineering
• View Recipes

Recipe Permissions Are Split by Department
Recipe-editing permissions are scoped to your team's area:

• Culinary team members can edit and manage food recipes.
• F&B team members can edit and manage beverage recipes.

A Beverage Manager, for example, won't be able to validate a food recipe, and a Sous Chef won't be able to validate a beverage recipe, each team manages recipes within its own area.

Recipe-Specific Permissions by Level
Within your department's scope, what you can do with recipes depends on your job level:

• Team Leader: View only.
• Assistant Manager / Manager: Can also edit their own draft recipes.
• Department Head / Leadership Committee: Can edit drafts and validate recipes (changing their status to Active).
